Once a target for assassination, Malala is now a Vogue cover girl

At age 15, Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head for speaking up about the rights of girls to learn.

She had little chance of survival but she was not done sharing her message, she lived to not only graduate from Oxford University but is the latest cover girl for British Vogue magazine.

In the July edition, Malala speaks about love, family and the home she left behind. Malala, who is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, could not return to her home after being treated in the UK.

Her family feared she would be killed by the Taliban who are opposed to many things including educating women, televisions and even playing music.

In her battle for equality, Malala travels the world to meet other girls fighting poverty, wars, child marriage and gender discrimination to go to school.

If there’s ever been a more worthy cover girl, it is the 23-year-old girl who puts her life on the line daily, the girl who even a bullet could not stop her star from shining.
