Liverpool will travel to north London to face Arsenal on Sunday evening, hoping to make a definitive statement.
After beating Chelsea last weekend, Liverpool will be keen to slay another London dragon and extend their lead at the top of the table.
On the other hand, Arsenal goes into Sunday’s match after a shock loss to Bournemouth after defender William Saliba was sent off.
The title race looks like it might go down to the wire, so the Gunners cannot afford to lose sight of Liverpool or Manchester City.
The pressure is on as both sides look to take all three points when the game kicks off at 6.30pm.
The Premier League weekend kicks off on Friday night with Leicester City taking on Nottingham Forest at 9pm.
Manchester City are in action on Saturday when they face Southampton at 4pm, and Tottenham is in action against Crystal Palace at the same time.
Chelsea hosts Newcastle United at 4pm on Sunday, and Manchester United travels to West Ham at the same time.
All the action will be live on DStv channel 203.
➤ Rugby steps up a gear this weekend. The top end of the United Rugby Championship is reaching a critical stage, where championship points become very important as teams battle for a spot in the top eight.
The wait is almost over for international test rugby to take centre stage again.
The Outbound Tour to Europe and France could be the most important test matches of the year. All the top teams (South Africa, France, Ireland, and New Zealand) will be playing, and most of the second-tier teams will also participate.
This weekend, however, there is only one international match which could be seen as a curtain raiser for the main event. An under-strength All Blacks team takes on Japan in Tokyo, and there is an outside chance that Japan can pull a rabbit out of the hat, but Scott Robertson’s men have a point to prove.
The Bulls are only marginal favourites when they play Benetton in the United Rugby Championship this weekend. Benetton have had a good run, and the Bulls have suffered their first URC defeat. The game could go both ways.
The Lions face their toughest test in years as the Dublin weather, the crowd and, most of all, unbeaten Leinster are against them. The Lions, we know, are giant killers, but it would be a brave punter who bets his pension on the boys from Joburg this time.
When the Sharks play Munster in Durban – a match between two teams who should be great but aren’t – it might just look like a contest for the wooden spoon. Perhaps, as we always hope, the Sharks can do the job – even by one point would be nice.
The Stormers play second-placed Glasgow Warriors in Stellenbosch, but it may just be a good day for the Stormers, who were on fire last week against Munster.
Benetton v Bulls Friday 8.35pm, Treviso, Italy.
Stormers v Glasgow Warriors, Saturday 1.45pm, Stellenbosch.
Sharks v Munster, Saturday 4pm, Durban.
Leinster v Lions, Saturday 6.15pm, Dublin.
All the action will be live across DSTv channels 201 and 211.
➤ Formula 1 action continues this weekend with the Mexican Grand Prix in another late race for South African fans.
After the United States Grand Prix last weekend, the race in Mexico City will start at 10pm South African time on Sunday.
Max Verstappen extended his lead over Lando Norris last weekend and may be the favourite to do so again this weekend.
If Lando and McLaren want to win the driver’s championship, they must be perfect for the remaining four races.
All the action will be live on DStv channel 215.
