On TikTok she is a celebrated influencer with an impressive following of 1.3 million. But the Nigerian social media sensation recently failed to get a single person to attend her meet and greet event.
Grace_Africa, as she is known on social media, took to social media to share a video of herself at an empty venue where she had hoped to meet her fans.
In the video captioned “When you set up a meet and greet and no one comes”, Grace calls her mother to tell her about her fans’ no show.
In the call her mother is shocked, wondering whether the TikToker’s fans were aware that Grace was part of the event.
Grace then abruptly rounds off the phone conversation with her mom, stating that she wants to go cry.
The video started a conversation on social media with some telling her that social media was different from real life.
One person tweeted: “I’ve been seeing a few influencers on tiktok who are huge on other platforms posting how their tiktok meet n greets are empty.”
Grace_Africa posts comedy skits that are often about Africa, despite being based in America. She is also known for imitating her mother’s Nigerian accent.
