South African actress and musician Anele Zondo turned heads at the 2026 Hollywoodbets Durban July, wearing a corset shaped like a white horse’s head and mane, paired with a matching cowboy hat.
The outfit, from the Victoria XVI collection, was one of several equestrian inspired looks at this year’s event, held under the theme “Country Allure” at Greyville Racecourse on 4 July.
Actress Jessica Nkosi wore a similar horse themed look, in a custom black gown by designer Ruberto Scholtz, alongside Zondo’s white version.
Zondo shared photos of her look on her Instagram page, where fans and fellow celebrities flooded the comments with praise.
TV personality Somizi Mhlongo wrote: “Anele. Anele. Anele.”
Reality star and singer Londie London wrote: “Wow Anele,” followed by heart eye emojis.
One fan asked where they could vote for Zondo. She replied, “best comment,” along with laughing and trophy emojis.
Another commenter called her “wifey,” and Zondo replied with the same word.
Entertainment outlet Zkhiphani described the look as an “unforgettable white stallion moment,” saying the garment was a masterpiece that honoured Zondo’s heritage.
This is not the first time Zondo has been praised for her Durban July fashion. She was also named among the best dressed at last year’s event.
