Nasty C is not “stalling” – he’s climbing the music charts

Local rapper Nasty C is quickly climbing the music charts with his latest single “Stalling”.

The song is sitting at number four on the trending music chart on YouTube with over 170,000 views since its release on Wednesday. These are impressive numbers for a song without a music video on a video streaming platform.

If you know Chris Brown’s 2019 hit song “No Guidance” – featuring multi-award winning rapper Drake – you are most likely to find “Stalling” familiar. There are similarities in how the chorus flows. The song also speaks about the same thing –  a girl.

Talking about his new single, Nasty said that it is a song about the heartbreaks he has been through.

“It was just me reflecting on all the times that I have been heartbroken,” said Nasty C in a live interview with Mzansi-A Listers, before talking about his upcoming fourth studio album.

“I don’t have a title for the album, but I have been playing around with a few options though.

“I have a general theme for the album. I have a feel for the album, I am trying do something different,” said the rapper, who is currently signed under an international record label Def Jam Recordings.
