Rising singer Naledi Aphiwe had fans talking on Saturday night after scooping two Metro FM Awards — and celebrating the win on TikTok.
The young star, who recently made headlines by accusing rapper Fifi Cooper of stealing her iPhone, took to social media to thank her supporters.
She gave a special mention to music producer Mawelele for helping her turn the hit song “Romeo & Juliet” into an award-winning track.
Metro FM confirmed the song won Best African Pop Song.
Meanwhile, SABC1 said it also picked up Best RNB Song.
Aphiwe looked overjoyed as she posted a video celebrating her win and thanking fans for standing by her.
Social media was flooded with messages of congratulations from people excited to see her rise — especially after the drama that followed her public fallout with Fifi Cooper.
“Congratulations little one, we love you. You are good at your craft.”
Aphiwe has become one of the most talked-about new talents in local music, and these awards are proof that she is here to stay.
