Young singer Naledi Aphiwe was moved to tears of joy after passing matric with a bachelor’s pass, but the celebration was bittersweet without her mother by her side.
The 18-year-old from Khethokuhle Secondary School shared her success on Instagram, posting her exam number with the caption: “Beauty with brains.”
In a touching moment, she also shared a photo of her late mother in hospital with the heartfelt message: “Mama, I made it.”
Naledi had always said she wanted to balance her books and beats, working hard for good marks while focusing on her music during school holidays.
Now that she has passed, the young star is considering taking a gap year to pursue her music dreams in Johannesburg.
