TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has taken another dig at his Mamelodi Sundowns counterpart Rhulani Mokwena as their feud worsens.

The Brazilians had to come from behind to salvage a point in a 1-1 PSL draw with the Rockets at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday.

Tensions boiled over both on and off the pitch, with Ramovic clashing with Sundowns’ technical team members just after the match.

Police had to calm the situation as Ramovic and Mokwena came close to confronting each other.

Ramovic continued his war of words against the Masandawana tactician, whom he keeps calling “Mr Sunshine.”

“If we finish in fourth spot, it will be like we won the league because if you see what financial power we have and what others have, especially Mr Sunshine with the troop here,” Ramovic told SuperSport.

“If they [Sundowns] want to beat us again, maybe they should buy [Kylian] Mbappe, [Cristiano] Ronaldo, and [Lionel] Messi – maybe then he has a bigger chance. If not, then he has to take the highest education because this is what he doesn’t have.”

The former VfL Wolfsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper also mocked Sundowns’ huge investment in players.

“You don’t win with million-dollar players but with million-dollar attitude players,” Ramovic said.

“This is what we have. We don’t have the financial power like them to spend over R200-million and to be outclassed, let’s say like this, because we dominated the whole game.”

The feud between the two coaches began in October 2023 when a tackle by Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu broke Bernard Parker’s leg.

Since then, the two coaches have been trading jibes. Recently, Ramovic lunged into Mokwena, saying the Sundowns trainer was busy playing badminton while he was a Bundesliga goalkeeper.

The feud between the two tacticians is so serious that TS Galaxy has sued Mokwena for claiming that Ramovic instructed his players to injure Zungu when the two sides met on 29 April.

The matter is with the high court as the Rockets are demanding a public apology from Mokwena.

“They have taken me to court, so let’s meet in court,” Mokwena told the media.

Sundowns now head into their final league match of the season against Cape Town City, while TS Galaxy take on Polokwane City.
