- Viewers hit out after Moja Love announced Isizwe Sakwa Dlamuka, a spin-off reality show focused on Thando Dlamuka and her family.
- Many fans say Thando is unsafe with Siyacela Dlamuka and accuse the channel of supporting abuse instead of protecting her.
Moja Love TV has sparked outrage with plans for a new reality show about the Dlamuka family.
The spin-off, called Isizwe Sakwa Dlamuka, follows the same family featured in Isencane Lengane. The channel announced the series on Monday, 22 September, but many fans immediately slammed the decision.
On social media, viewers said they were tired of watching Thando Dlamuka suffer at the hands of her husband, Siyacela.
“Moja Love can give us better content. I don’t want to see Thando or Siyacela. Thando is not a child anymore; she’s being abused and not working on her future,” one fan wrote.
Another said they could not understand why the channel thought people wanted more from the Dlamukas.
In July 2024, many viewers were horrified when Siyacela threatened to lock Thando and their child in a burning car during an episode.
Even with that backlash, Moja Love is pressing ahead with the new series. But many South Africans feel the channel is rewarding bad behaviour instead of protecting Thando.
