Actor, businessman and Somizi Mhlongo’s estranged husband, Mohale Motaung has brought home an Africa Choice Award (ACA) after keeping Mzansi entertained since his “wedding of the year” in 2019.
Mohale had asked his fans on Twitter to vote for him in the Male Personality of the Year category of the ACA in August, which is an annual accolades event presented by Vergeria Life magazine in Nigeria.
ACA recognises outstanding achievement in the entertainment, fashion and creative Industry.
“Y’all need to wake up because I was awarded with a male personality of the year INTERNATIONAL award in Nigeria last night!!!!!” announced Mohale on Twitter after the awards ceremony which was held on Saturday.
Having started his acting career on MTV’s Shuga: Down South drama series in 2019, which had a huge following in the West of Africa where it had originally started, it comes as no surprise that Mohale brought this one home, despite all the bad publicity that came with the separation between him and Somizi.
“A special thank you to everyone that voted. SOUTH AFRICA, we brought this one home,” said the 27-year-old CEO of a fashion company called Glam Troupe from Kibler Park in Johannesburg.
