  • Mnakwethu returns to Mzansi Magic on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, at 8pm, with Musa Mseleku back as host for Season 5.
  • Mseleku says this season features couples from different cultures, showing how various communities approach polygamy and the challenges that come with it.

Mnakwethu is back. The reality show that puts married men in the room with their wives and asks a very specific question returns to Mzansi Magic on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, at 8pm.

Musa Mseleku will host again. He is best known as the star of Uthando neS’thembu, where his own four wives navigate life in a polygamous household. On Mnakwethu, he sits on the other side of the table, guiding other men through the same ask.

Season 5 will follow couples through difficult conversations about trust, love and the future of their marriages. Mseleku will help some families meet potential second wives for the first time.

This season brings something new. Mseleku says the show will feature people from different cultures, looking at how each community understands polygamy and the complications it brings.

He believes Mnakwethu connects with viewers because the struggles on screen are not only about polygamy.

“People everywhere face similar relationship challenges. The emotions, family dynamics and life-changing decisions on the show are something many viewers can relate to,” he said.

Mseleku said he is proud of what the show has done for public conversations about marriage in South Africa. He said the road has not always been easy, but the goal has always been honest discussion.

Mnakwethu Season 5 starts on Mzansi Magic on 7 July 2026.
