- MaWhoo’s photographer opened a criminal case against Bacardi musician Enny Man Da Guitar over R50,000 camera equipment theft in Pretoria.
- Lebogang Lebero claims Enny arranged a fake photo shoot where unknown artists robbed him of MaWhoo’s camera and other equipment.
MaWhoo’s photographer, Lebogang Lebero, has opened a criminal case against Bacardi musician Enny Man Da Guitar, whose real name is Ernest Zwane. He says the artist planned the theft of camera equipment worth R50,000.
The stolen items included a camera, tripod, lights, and other gadgets. The camera belonged to MaWhoo, who had lent it to Lebero for work.
Lebero says the incident happened after a photo shoot in Pretoria that was arranged by Enny Man Da Guitar.
The shoot involved a group of unknown artists who Enny claimed he had worked with before. During the meeting, the group promised work but then robbed him.
Lebero says he managed to run away, but all the equipment was taken.
He believes this has caused problems with MaWhoo, who now suspects he scammed her.
“Enny Man Da Guitar took the equipment and then posted it on social media. He is a criminal, and I will not rest until I get my equipment back,” Lebero said.
He also said he has lost his job and work opportunities since the theft.
Lebero claims Enny first agreed to help pay for the equipment but has not given him any money.
“I am tired. My mother depends on me, and I am the breadwinner. He was involved in the robbery, and I stand by my word,” he said.
Enny Man Da Guitar denies the accusations, Sunday World reported.
“I am not involved in any theft or crime. I am just a musician trying to succeed. If anything happens to me, people must know who is involved,” he said.
He also questioned why Lebero did not get full details from his clients.
Police at Pretoria Central are investigating the case.
