Mass protests against race and police brutality are sweeping across the United States.
The trigger was the killing by police of an unarmed black man George Floyd last week in the state of Minnesota.
Floyd died after being pinned down by white police officers who held his knee to the handcuffed man’s neck as he repeatedly said he could not breathe.
There are fears that violence and rioting is being fanned by right-wing supporters of President Donald Trump, known as the boogaloos, who want to start a race war.
Trump has threatened the protestors with “vicious dogs and ominous weapons”.
