Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has come under fire for traveling to the UK for a virtual conference. A meeting he only needed a laptop for.
The head of state blamed the poor connection in his country for his trip. The president and his reported 10 person entourage were attending the Global Education Summit which was hosted by British prime minister Boris Johnson.
Malawi is a beneficiary of the Education programme. Chakwera has also come under fire for taking his wife and daughter along.
The president is facing criticism from the people of Malawi.
