  • Makhadzi says people questioned her car accident because she survived and demanded proof instead of respecting her recovery.
  • The Limpopo born singer says she is still in pain after the crash and is healing at home following hospital treatment.

Award winning musician Makhadzi says she is hurt by people who questioned whether her car accident was serious.

The Limpopo born star was injured in a motor vehicle accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg on the morning of 31 December 2025.

She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged. She is now recovering at home.

Makhadzi spoke out on social media after seeing comments demanding proof that the crash really happened.

She said she was shocked by the idea that surviving an accident is not enough.

“I did not know that the proof that you were in an accident must be death,” she wrote.

The singer said some people even asked her to post graphic images of her injuries to convince them.

She said these demands showed a lack of compassion and belief.

“I didn’t know that if God gives you a second chance, you must prove it by posting yourself before you heal,” she wrote.

Makhadzi said she is still in pain and is focused on getting better.

She said the injuries she suffered are not something she is ready to show the public.

“I am in pain, trying to get my life back,” she wrote. “You couldn’t have looked at my body twice on day one.”

She added that she believes God is still working on her healing.

“I can’t disclose everything because I believe God is still going to do a miracle,” she said.

Makhadzi said it has been painful to be questioned by people who doubt that someone can survive a life threatening situation.

She said her priority is healing, not proving anything to anyone.

Fans and fellow artists have since shared messages of support.

Many have asked the public to respect her privacy and allow her space to recover.
