Mmusi Maimane mocked DJ Shimza on X after the DJ showed his support for the ANC.

The former DA boss, businessman, politician and now leader of Build One South Africa (Bosa) teased DJ Shimza on social media.

On Tuesday, Shimza’s public display of support for the ANC, symbolised by sharing their logo on X, sparked a wave of criticism from thousands of users.

Maimane’s comment was scathing: “You’re the biggest beneficiary. DJ Tinstwalo wama tender. You have more tenders than hits.”

Earlier this year, Shimza –  real name Ashley Raphala – collaborated with American singer Aloe Blacc on his latest single, Darling.
