- Podcaster MacG is facing backlash after making a rude comment about Minnie Dlamini’s recent breakup.
- TV channel Moja Love and social media users slammed him for spreading harmful views about women.
Popular but often controversial podcaster Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho is in trouble again, this time for making rude comments about TV presenter Minnie Dlamini.
On a recent episode of his show Podcast and Chill, MacG spoke about Dlamini’s breakup with plastic surgeon Dr Brian Monaisa. The couple ended their relationship earlier this month.
Dr Monaisa confirmed the split on social media, saying it was for “personal reasons” and not because of cheating. He added that he still respects Dlamini.
But MacG’s comments made many angry. He questioned why Dlamini could not keep a man and said, “There’s got to be something wrong with her; maybe her coochie smells or something.”

Social media exploded with angry reactions, and many people called for the podcast to be cancelled.
TV channel Moja Love also weighed in. Their spokesperson, Nonzwakazi Cekete, said: “This kind of talk spreads harmful ideas about women. Media should uplift people, not bring them down.”
Dr Monaisa also spoke out, saying the podcast hosts seem to have a problem with successful women.
This is not the first time MacG has faced trouble for his words. Last year, singer Nkosazana Daughter sued him for R13-million after he said something untrue about her child’s father. Actress Rosie Motene also sued him for R1-million over insulting comments.
