Three-vehicle collision N2 Southbound between Sibaya and Cornubia. Emergency services are on the scene.
11:45 – Pietermaritzburg-Durban N3
Severe flooding at the bottom of Ashburton. Multiple collisions with barriers were reported. The entire route to Mariannhill Toll Plaza is extremely hazardous due to wet conditions. Motorists are advised to reduce speed significantly.

Serious collision between a Big Sky coach and a stationary truck near Colenso/Bergville Interchange past Estcourt Shell Ultra City. Multiple injuries reported:
- Four passengers critically injured
- Several others with varying injuries
- Emergency services completed passenger extrication
- All victims were transported to the hospital
- ER24 and Alfred Duma Fire & Rescue teams are on the scene
