  • Nineteen-year-old Mulisa was last seen at her home in Phiphidi village on Saturday evening and has not been heard from since.
  • Her family describes her as respectful and “down to earth” and is pleading with the public to help find her alive.

For days now, the Ramunangi family has been living in fear and prayer, hoping their missing teenager will return home safe.

Nineteen-year-old Mulisa Ramunangi from Phiphidi village, near Thohoyandou, disappeared on Saturday evening. She was last seen around 7pm. Since then, family, friends and neighbours have heard nothing from her.

Her uncle, Lutendo Ramunangi, said the family is desperate for answers. “We are worried because Mulisa never leaves home without telling us. It’s been days now and we haven’t heard anything,” he told Scrolla.Africa.

Mulisa completed her matric in 2024 and was taking a gap year, with plans to study further next year. Her uncle described her as “down to earth” and respectful.

“My niece is just an innocent little girl. We don’t know what happened or who might have taken her. We remain hopeful we will find her alive,” he said.

Disappearances of young girls in Vhembe are not new. Nine-year-old Fiona Matodzi has been missing since August 2022. Earlier this year, 34-year-old mother Rendani Tshigwili and her two-year-old daughter went missing and were later found dead.

Police have warned that a dangerous syndicate targeting women and children may be active in Limpopo.

The Ramunangi family is pleading with the public for help. “Someone somewhere might have seen Mulisa. We cannot do it alone. With the community’s help, we can find her,” said her uncle.

Limpopo police confirmed a missing persons docket has been opened. Anyone with information can contact her uncle, Lutendo Ramunangi, on 076 392 6765.
