- Lerato shared that she was followed into a restaurant and took photos of the suspects, but police did nothing when she asked for help.
- She says she is no longer living in fear and had invisible security nearby during the incident.
Metro FM presenter Lerato Kganyago says she’s been followed by unknown men, and when she confronted one of them, the police stood by and did nothing.
Lerato shared the terrifying story on her Instagram Stories this week, saying she’s been aware of the men for some time and even set a trap to confirm her suspicions.
She said she was at a restaurant when security staff alerted her that some men were asking about her, including where she was sitting and when she arrived.
She immediately became alert and took photos of the men as they entered, sat nearby and later moved when she stood up to leave.
Outside, Lerato said she confronted one of the men while he stood near a police officer. But to her shock, the officer didn’t get involved and walked away when he saw she was filming the moment.
“They are thugs!” she said, revealing that she had invisible security nearby to protect her.
She also sent the suspects’ photos to her loved ones and thanked the restaurant security for warning her.
Although the experience was frightening, Lerato says she’s done living in fear.
“I will always look and sound happy because that’s what keeps me alive in spirit. My fear is gone. I do not fear anymore,” she wrote.
