Nongoma: KZN Premier Thami Ntuli has bought luxury SUVs for two wives of the Zulu King. The Toyota Prado 2025 models were presented on Monday at Mashobeni Royal Palace for Queen Ntokozo kaMayisela of KwaNkomonye Royal Palace and Queen Nomzamo kaMyeni of Mashobeni Royal Palace. The gift from Premier Ntuli has sparked debate on social media platforms as others question why the other Queen Sihle kaMdluli was excluded.
Durban: The eThekwini Transport Authority presented a revised strategy to speed up the delivery of an affordable, safe, reliable and inclusive Integrated Public Transport Network through its GO!Durban programme at the Executive Committee meeting held on Tuesday. The city says as part of its efforts to overcome key implementation challenges and ensure final delivery of phase one of the programme, ETA has detailed its revised strategy for GO!Durban following a series of meetings and alignment with government stakeholders.
Westville: An intelligence-led operation by KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Organised Crime Unit officers has resulted in the arrest of a foreign national man and a local woman after they were found dealing in drugs. On Monday, police executed search warrants at two residential apartments, one on Flanethorn Drive in Westville and the other at an estate in Hillcrest. During the raid, police found ecstasy tablets, ecstasy powder, heroin capsules, cocaine bags and crystal meth worth an estimated street value of over R500,000. The arrested suspects will appear in court soon.
