Chatsworth: Police in Chatsworth have arrested four suspects in connection with cases of murder and attempted murder which they had allegedly committed in the Chatsworth policing area. On Monday, a 20-year-old man was shot multiple times on the road at 1104 informal settlement in Chatsworth and was declared dead at the scene. On Tuesday, the Chatsworth Detectives Tracing Team gathered information about the whereabouts of the suspects and conducted intelligence operations.
Ubombo: Nozipho Mathenjwa has been sentenced to six months in prison, alternatively a R10,000 fine (R5,000 suspended for three months). She appeared in Ubombo Magistrates Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to counts of fraud, impersonation and extortion. “As indicated this morning, I received complaints from community leaders and residents complaining about Ms Mathenjwa, who was impersonating officials from the Department of Human Settlements,” said Transport Minister Siboniso Duma.
