  • Queen Nozizwe LaMakhubu made a royal appearance at the Reed Dance at Mashobeni Royal Palace, alongside two other queens.
  • She recently urged banks to support women with loans, saying women are key to community development.

Queen Nozizwe, who is the managing director of the Eswatini state bank, appeared at the Reed Dance held at Mashobeni Royal Palace. She stood proudly next to Queen Nomzamo and Queen Sihle, confirming her presence once again as part of the royal household.

Her appearance put an end to rumours that she had split from King Misuzulu. There had been speculation for some time that the royal couple had separated, but the Queen’s return sent a strong message of unity.

Not only did she return to her royal duties, but Queen Nozizwe also used her platform to speak out about empowering women. At an event in the Eastern Cape hosted by the Department of Land Reform, she encouraged financial institutions to prioritise women.

“As a banker I do understand how women champion the community development. That is why I am calling for the banks to help and give loans to women,” said Queen Nozizwe.

She was invited to the event by the Ndamase royal family and attended alongside the Minister of Rural Development.

She has been praised for her strong academic background and her ongoing work in supporting women’s development and empowerment.

Her return to the royal family has been welcomed by many.
