By Celani Sikhakhane

A statement released by the Traditional Prime Minister Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi reports that King Misuzulu KaZwelithini was traveling in Vryheid, North of KwaZulu-Natal on R34 when his convoy collided with a VW Polo which led to His Majesty’s car to crash.

But Buthelezi said that the king was safe and the crash was just a minor incident.

“He is well and emerged unscathed. I spoke to His Majesty last night, and the king was in high spirits and conveyed to me that the whole incident was of a minor nature,” Buthelezi said.

Buthelezi calmed the fears of the Zulu nation and said that  there is no cause for concern.

He said His Majesty  will continue with his normal daily schedule of activities by presiding over the official opening of the Princess Mkabayi Regional Mall in Vryheid.

The King is expected to officially open the Princess Mkabayi Regional Mall which was built by controversial business module Raux Shabangu.

The Mall is named after the great Princess of the Zulu nation who was the first African feminist.

Princess Mkabayi never got married.

She had her own army in Vryheid and the palace was called Abaqulusi.

She fought for King Shaka KaSenzangakhona to ascend to the Zulu throne after he was forsaken by his father, King Senzangakhona.

The Mall that is named after the princess was blessed by the late King Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

It is also at the standard of the biggest malls in South Africa such as Gateway and Mall of Africa and will play a crucial role in creating job opportunities.
