Abathembu King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo is heading for a divorce with his new wife because he has reportedly grown frustrated with her social life.
Queen Khazeka Mcinga, who is a filmmaker, is the King’s sixth wife.
It is reported that the King has also taken back the two vehicles that he gave to Queen Khazeka – a Porsche and a Mercedes Benz that was donated by EFF leader Julius Malema.
“The King was not happy about some of the projects that he was forced to be involved in by Queen Khazeka. She would demand monies for those projects including the bursary scheme and a golf tournament that was going to be used as a fundraising programme for the royal bursary,” said a source.
“Another thing: the King was worried about the way Queen Khazeka was behaving when they were among family members. The King wanted her to be quiet but Queen Khazeka would be bubbly and talkative, since she is a nice person, during the gatherings.”
Queen Khazeka issued a statement revealing the challenges she endured while she was with the King.
She said that the King didn’t want her to own a car because he believed if she did, she could go anywhere without informing him. She said that she was instructed to sell her cars.
“After selling my two cars, the King gave me a Porsche Panamera and GLE Mercedes Benz but he has since taken them back and left me without a car since I also sold my vehicles after he said he didn’t want me to own a car. He left me in a lot of debt.”
Abathembu spokesperson Inkosi Thandisizwe Mtirara said that he doesn’t have any confirmation or the full details of this matter.
“The divorce matter I only heard about it without any evidence so it would be difficult to confirm it.
“The only thing that we spoke about with the King was the issue of DNA where we agree that all of his children – there are about seven, if I am not mistaken – should go for DNA testing,” he said.
On Wednesday, the Abathembu royal family addressed the media about the paternity test of the King and his son Prince Azenathi, who acted as king while his father was in prison.
The King had been sentenced in 2015 to 15 years for kidnapping, assault, arson and homicide but he only served four years. He was released after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced he would grant some prisoners special remission.
The Inkosi said that the royal family has decided that all the children of the King should go for DNA tests so that it would not be seen as if Prince Azenathi was being persecuted.
“We want the DNA tested on all of them so that it cannot be seen as if Prince Azenathi was being targeted in the family.”
