President Donald Trump shocked the world this week – even more than usual.
He said on TV that bleach could be swallowed or injected to cure the coronavirus.
Now it seems he got the idea from a group promoting bleach as “a wonderful detox”, which “can rid the body of Covid-19”. The group, Genesis II, claims to be a church, but also produces bleach.
Bleach and disinfectant companies put out announcements on Friday warning customers not to swallow their products.
After the storm that followed, Trump said he was just being “sarcastic”.
The US has now had more than 50 000 deaths, and unemployment is at 20%.
Difficult for him to claim he was just joking.
