Following his stint in prison, musician and presenter Jub Jub’s remarkable resurgence looks to be continuing after he hinted at a new collaboration with rapper Emtee.
On Tuesday, Jub Jub captioned a picture posted on Instagram of himself standing with the Pour Up rapper with: “We ready and Loading……YOU SET THE DATE‼”
In 2012, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for causing a serious motor accident. He was drag racing with a friend near a school in Soweto in 2010 while under the influence of drugs. The accident killed four school pupils and injured two. He only served four years of his sentence behind bars.
The rapper is known for his unique blending of two genres: he structures gospel songs like a rap song, complete with full rap verses.
What will come out of Emtee and Jub Jub’s collaboration remains to be seen.
But on Wednesday, Jub Jub dropped a surprise amapiano song with DJ Cleo titled Amaswidi.
He is also said to have begun shooting a new season of Moja Love’s Uyajola 9/9, following his suspension from the channel in December 2021. He was dropped after he accused ex-partner Kelly Khumalo of using muti during an interview with MacG’s Podcast and Chill.
