Joburg’s DA Mayor Mpho Phalatse tied the knot in an intimate wedding on Sunday morning to fellow politician Brutus Malada of ActionSA.
The politicians had a private ceremony attended by a few family members and close associates.
In a photo collage shared on social media with congratulatory messages, Phalatse and Malada are seen holding hands in front of a priest in what looks like a sitting area inside a church.
The smiling couple were also snapped outside the church walking down the stairs holding hands and cozy. The groom was dressed in a chocolate brown suit while Phalatse rocked a knee length cream dress with rose gold heels.
Phalatse, a mother of three, is a medical doctor.
Malada is a writer, a political analyst and recently joined ActionSA. He has been posting photos and videos of himself campaigning and recruiting for Herman Mashaba’s ActionSA for months wearing party regalia.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in education at the University of Venda and he previously served as a specialist writer and communications advisor for the rector of the University of the Western Cape.
It’s not clear what his position is at ActionSA.
