The Zulu king is “being held by his private parts” by IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Khaye Nkwanyane wrote on Facebook.
But Nkwanyane is a technical specialist in the office of Nomalungelo Gina, the Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition. He will now face disciplinary action.
Gina expressed her regret after reading comments that were made by Nkwanyane, she said in a statement.
The post is titled “Who is going to liberate King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini from that politician called Gatsha Buthelezi?”
Nkwanyane was responding to a post by Kwazi Mthethwa, the spokesperson for education MEC, Kwazi Mshengu.
In his post Mshengu warned that King Misuzulu will become a “puppet” if he fails to liberate himself from Buthelezi.
“Like the late King Zwelithini, King Misuzulu is being held by his private parts by Gatsha Buthelezi,” Nkwanyane said.
“The views of Mr Nkwanyana towards [Buthelezi] are not shared by the deputy minister,” Gina’s statement said.
“Internal disciplinary and corrective processes will be instituted against the official.”
