- Reality TV influencer Inno Morolong received 12 months of house arrest for defamation and crimen injuria against Tebogo Thobejane, with strict movement and substance bans.
- Tebogo welcomed the ruling but found the five-year parole odd, while social media influencers celebrated the verdict, anticipating more legal trouble for Inno.
Reality TV influencer Inno Morolong was sentenced to 12 months of house arrest after being convicted of crimen injuria and defamation.
The case she was convicted in involves actress and influencer Tebogo Thobejane.
Under her sentence, Inno cannot leave her home in Welkom and is banned from consuming alcohol or drugs. She is also not allowed to enter Johannesburg. Any violation of these conditions or committing a similar offence will result in immediate imprisonment.
Not too long ago, the convicted social influencer was seen dedicating her life to the Lord.
An elated Tebogo said: “We are happy that she will begin her rehabilitation process. However, we must acknowledge that having to submit to a parole officer for five years simply because she attempted to defame someone who did nothing wrong is rather odd.
“She needs to engage in PR to ensure her daughter no longer suffers, but everyone is observing her apparent lack of remorse.”
She added: “Do not underestimate the criminal justice system just because you are outside. People are waiting for your downfall. Tomorrow [Thursday], she is going to court again for another matter in Welkom, so let’s see if perhaps God humbles her.”
After the ruling, Tebogo shared the court documents on Instagram, captioning them: “Thank you for your support – justice has been served.”
Social media users, including influencers Dineo Moloisane and Gogo Skotheni, reacted with excitement.
Dineo commented, “I can’t wait to serve her at her home. 2025 is starting on a good slate,” while Gogo Skhotheni simply wrote, “Habashwe.”
