‘I didn’t plan Senzo’s murder’ – Kelly Khumalo’s sister

Kelly Khumalo’s sister says she had nothing to do with Senzo Meyiwa’s murder – and suggests police should look at his wife instead.

Zandie Khumalo-Gumede took to social media on Wednesday to defend herself against claims she helped plan the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper’s killing.

“I was never part of any planning or masterminding the killing of Senzo if there ever was something like that,” she wrote.

She then pointed fingers at Meyiwa’s wife Mandisa, asking the police to investigate her thoroughly.

“When my suspicions are without any doubt proven to be wrong, I will sincerely apologise to her because my suspicions are not personal and do not come from a place of malice,” she wrote.

Khumalo-Gumede strongly backed her sister Kelly, who was dating Meyiwa when he was shot dead in 2014 at their mother’s house in Vosloorus.

“I don’t believe that Kelly Khumalo had something to do with this… I know her well, I have no grounds to suspect her of anything,” she said.

She’s “200% sure” the five men currently on trial are the actual killers. But she wants anyone who planned the murder to be arrested – no matter who they are.
