After 77 minutes the Bulls were leading the Ospreys by 38-17 and it appeared to be all over bar the shouting.
As expected, the Bulls pack had clinically overwhelmed the Osprey forwards allowing the backs to run in the tries.
For those that have forgotten how good Cornal Hendricks is it was a delight to watch the big centre break through the advantage line at speed, the first time setting up Canan Moodie’s try and then scoring three copy-book tries of his own.
In truth, Hendricks has not had a particularly good season but this time he showed that, given the right circumstances and an effective flyhalf, he is as good as the best in South Africa.
But with three minutes to go, the Bulls almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory when they stopped playing and the Ospreys took full advantage and scored two converted tries to make the score line look a lot more respectable for the team from Swansea.
Scoring the bonus points-win means the Bulls have done everything they could to get into the top four, keeping their hopes alive to secure a home semi-final.
