The goat herder looked at one of the goats and it looked back at him. He concluded that the animal was being seductive.
The man from Mayose Embhashe in the Eastern Cape went on to rape and strangle the goat.
He made the confession after being cornered and confronted by a group of angry grannies, one of them the goat’s owner.
The man had been the last person to be seen with the animal.
And according to community members, it was not the only goat to be found raped and killed in the village.
The videos of the man’s confession shook social media.
With the goat’s body in front of him, the man confessed to everything that the elderly women accused him of but blamed the goat for seducing him.
In the video the angry women are heard confronting the man, asking him difficult questions such as where has he seen people sleeping with animals.
Stuttering, the man confesses and also tells the grannies how long he’s been raping the animals.
Although some found the confession funny, animal lovers were enraged and called for law enforcement to bring the perpetrator to book.
The SPCA’s chief inspector, Jaco Pieterse, said the relevant authorities needed to be notified so that steps could be taken against the suspect.
Pieterse said he will get in touch with the SPCA in East London to find out if they are aware of the incident and what measures have been taken.
