The National SPCA is outraged by the mapiano artist who released a song in the name of an alleged goat rapist.

Mitchell We Gqom released a single on Thursday and named it after the man who allegedly raped a goat and claimed it seduced him.

The man from the Eastern Cape was filmed admitting to raping and later killing a goat. The video had been doing the rounds on social media since last week.

The music artist remixed a snippet of the video where the alleged goat rapist admits to raping the animal.

The NSPCA’s Keshvi Nair said: “The NSPCA asks, would it be acceptable if Mitchell We Gqom, or any other music producer, remixed a video of a human rapist admitting to raping another human into a music track? Certainly not!,”

She added that sexual acts with animals is a criminal offence to which a man was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment only a few months ago.

She said the NSPCA has shared, on countless occasions, that there is evidence that suggests that people who rape animals eventually go on to abuse other vulnerable members of society, like children and the elderly. Any person who rapes another being, human or animal, is a danger to society.

“This apathy that is spread through our communities is a cancer that must be cut out decisively.

Animal cruelty is a crime. Any portrayal to the contrary is grossly unjust! ”

The NSPCA said they have been trying to locate the alleged animal rapist since they came across an article on Scrolla.Africa.

“To date, the NSPCA only has a general region where the offender lives, but not an exact address. We implore anyone with information regarding where the alleged rapist can be found to please report such directly to us [email protected],” Nair said.
