Former Orlando Pirates and FC Twente star Nhlakanipho Ntuli has earned a move to Swedish third-tier club Dalkurd FF.
Ntuli, from Umlazi Township, was once deemed a top young superstar after earning a life- changing move to Eredivisie club FC Twente, when he signed a five-year contract in 2013. He failed to establish himself in Holland, though, leading to the termination of his contract in 2015.
The 26-year-old former SA U-20 captain had a short stint with Free State Stars in 2016 before going to Poland two years later to play for Sportis Lochowo. He last appeared for Slovakian outfit Kosice — where he produced three goals and four assists in 26 games.
“It feels good to be in this fine club and I look forward to giving everything for the club. I have got to know the club and it is a big club, which has high ambitions and which wants to go up to the Superettan again.”
“We will do everything we can to make sure we all finish this season with smiles on our faces.”
Ntuli is expected to play a vital role as Dalkurd aim to climb back to the Superettan League after being relegated last year — finishing in 16th place with 29 points. The league is set to resume in April and concludes in November.
