Timmy “Ngqungqumbana” Kwebulana, a well-known musician, actor, and director, has died.
His family confirmed that he passed away on Thursday, 19 September, after a short illness.
They said: “It is with sadness that the Kwebulana family officially announces the passing of long-time musician, actor, and director Mr. Timmy Kwebulana.
“We are grateful for his life and all his contributions to us as a family and to the arts and entertainment industry for almost six decades.”
Kwebulana, who had a lasting influence on South Africa’s entertainment industry, leaves behind a legacy that spans nearly 60 years.
Celebrities, including actor and reality TV star Phila Madlingozi, have paid tribute to him, honouring his remarkable contributions to the arts.
