Female rock star apologises for peeing on a fan on stage

American singer Sophia Urista of Brass Against has apologised for shocking the world last week by urinating on a man while performing in front of thousands in Daytona, Florida.

The 35-year-old brought the man onto the stage at the Rockville metal festival and relieved herself on him while the music kept playing.

The New York-based lead singer posted on Instagram that, “I have always pushed the limits in music and on stage. That night, I pushed the limits too far.

“I love my family, the band, and the fans more than anything and I know that some were hurt or offended by what I did. I apologise to them and want them to know that I didn’t mean to hurt them,” she added.

Members of the band distanced themselves from the act tweeting a day after the show that “Sophia got carried away,” and adding that “it’s not something you’ll see again at our shows.”

However, the response on social media was mixed.

One fan tweeted: “When I hear a band’s lead singer pissed on a fan *) “Disgusting!” (* when I find out it was Sophia Urista *)

“Hold on…let’s take a moment to discuss this.”
