England’s Jos Buttler, Will Jacks, and Jonny Bairstow have been retained by SA20 franchises ahead of the new season draft.Buttler joins the Durban Super Giants, Jacks is with the Pretoria Capitals and Bairstow has been retained by Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
Other retained internationals include James Vince and Richard Gleeson with Joburg Super Kings.
Veteran players like Sunil Narine, Rashid Khan, and Andre Russell have also been signed by various franchises.
South African stars Heinrich Klaasen, Kagiso Rabada, and Marco Jansen are retained, while players like Aiden Markram and Lungi Ngidi have been released.
The SA20 auction is set for 9 September 9 and the tournament is set to take centre stage this summer, from boxing day to 25 January.
MI Cape Town is the only franchise to use all six retention slots, impacting their auction budget.
