Borussia Dortmund picked up a 1-0 Uefa Champions League semi-final first leg win over PSG at the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday.

Nico Schlotterbeck got the assist for Niclas Fuellkrug’s left-footed bottom corner strike ten minutes before half-time to break the deadlock.

And with the yellow wall up in full force, the hosts would take away the advantage.

PSG edged the possession and created chances throughout, hitting the woodwork twice in quick succession.

Jadon Sancho was a marvel on the night though, keeping the likes of Kylian Mbappe quiet as he completed 11 successful dribbles — the most by any player in the Champions League this season.

Dortmund remain unbeaten against the French giants in the competition though, winning two and drawing one as they picked up back-to-back knockout wins in the competition for the first time since 2013 where they finished runners up behind rivals Bayern Munich.

The Parisians will still hope to mount a comeback at home, having won two of their last four Champions League knockout ties when losing the first leg. The first of those even came against Dortmund in the 2019-20 last 16 stage.

An all-German Der Klassiker final is on the cards at Wembley again, though, with the second leg between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich taking centre stage next Wednesday following the Paris clash on Tuesday.
