Nigeria’s Afrobeat giant Davido and Mzansi Amapiano hit maker Focalistic met in the heart of London to create the high-spirited music video for “Champion Sound”.
The duo previously remixed Focalistic’s platinum selling single “Ke Star” together, turning it into an internationally charting song with DJ Vigro Deep.
Focalistic became one of the few artists in Mzansi who has gone toe to toe with other international artists and broken into UK Charts where he placed in the top 10 with “Ke Star”. Meanwhile, he reached the top five in nine African countries including Nigeria, immediately turning him into a global star.
The music video for “Champion Sound”, which was shot with a group of Davido fans and his entourage, has already clocked up more than 2 million views after it premiered on YouTube on Friday. It is currently sitting at number twelve on the international platform’s music charts.
Meanwhile, “Ke Star” has reached over 12 million views on YouTube since its release nine months ago – another milestone for the duo.
