A 23-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder case involving South African actress Tebogo Thobejane.

Nzama appeared briefly at the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on the same day as the ongoing court proceedings for the DJ Sumbody murder case, which may be linked to Thobejane’s case.
According to the Daily Sun, Nzama is facing a charge of money laundering. She is accused of playing a key role in planning the hit, with over R120,000 allegedly moved through her bank account to fund the attack.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane confirmed Nzama’s arrest and said she was granted R10,000 bail. Her next court appearance is scheduled for 26 August 2025.
The full details of the case are still under investigation, but links between the attempted hit on Thobejane and DJ Sumbody’s murder are being looked into.
Thobejane, who is known for her acting and social media presence, has not commented publicly on the latest arrest.
