The 2024 Crown Gospel Music Awards, to be held in November, has announced the extension of nominations to gospel artists from the African diaspora in the United States, the Caribbean and Europe for the new “Best of Africa” category.
The awards will honour founder Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule while introducing exciting changes.
Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, the executive producer of the awards and Mbokazi-Nkambule’s husband, unveiled a new logo and said the awards would maintain its high standard.
The event will be held on November 24 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa.
Nominations are open until 10 October, and the nominee announcement party will be held on 30 October.
Mbokazi-Nkambule, founder of the awards and a beloved TV and radio presenter, passed away at the age of 52 on August 12 at Parklands Hospital in Johannesburg after battling lung cancer.
