After the sudden death of businessman, rapper and Cotton Fest founder Riky Rick, the festival organisers are ready to host their first music festival without him.
Riky Rick, who was at the heart of the successful music festival, took his own life on 23 February.
Before revealing the list of over 100 artists who will be performing in the two day event, Cotton Fest said they will be hosting the event in honour of its founder.
The festival will be held in Newtown, Johannesburg on the weekend of 23 April.
“The Cotton Fest team will keep his vision alive by bringing cotton eaters together to celebrate the fusion of music and fashion,” wrote Cotton Fest on Twitter in March.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that YFM’s Lula Odiba, MTVBase Host Tshego Koke, Kabelo ‘Uncle Vinny’ Ndlovu and comedian Robot Boii will host the festival.
