Limpopo-born producer and DJ Chymamusique is sharing his long road to recovery after the tragic car accident that killed fellow artist DJ Poizen.
The award-winning musician, whose real name is Collen Ntala Mmotla, posted a photo from his hospital bed on Friday, 12 September. Both of his legs are wrapped in bandages.
“I can’t wait to be able to stand and walk again. Lord, make me over again,” he wrote.
The crash on 30 August left Poizen dead and Chymamusique critically injured. Since then, he has been posting emotional updates about resilience, faith and finding meaning in hard times.
Just a day before his hospital post, he encouraged fans to hold on to hope: “Every day is a chance to breathe again. Try again and seek God to guide us into living a purpose-filled life.”
Chymamusique also honoured Poizen by sharing one of their collaborations online. The tribute moved fans who are still mourning the late artist.
