After only the first month of Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Johannesburg the show has been cancelled – and it’s because Gugu Khathi (above left) gave Christall Kay (above right) a shiner in the changing room.
“Gugu is the one who punched me resulting in a black eye,” Christall told Scrolla.Africa, claiming it was not a fair fight.
“I was sitting down and there was no threat to her. I have evidence to prove this.”
Close sources say Khathi, DJ Tira’s wife, had an argument with Kay.
Then Khathi left and came back wearing sneakers and jeans, ready for a fight.
Kay said she has opened a case of assault against Khathi.
“I’ve heard she’s opened a counter case against me,” she said.
Kay said the argument wasn’t even with Khathi but with cast member Brinnette Seopela.
“I asked Brinnette why she had hosted a dinner in Kenya where she spoke out against me and got the girls to gang up on me. Gugu went on the rampage and attacked me, aided by Brinnette,” she said.
Kay said that Khathi and Seopela knew what they were doing.
“They went away after the initial argument and came back half an hour later. They changed their outfits and shoes into sneakers and proceeded to attack me continuously by aggressive body language until Gugu hit me in the eye,” she said.
Khathi told Scrolla.Africa she would only comment once the case has been resolved legally.
Gauteng SAPS spokesman Captain Kay Makhubela confirmed that there was a case opened.
“We are busy investigating a case of common assault. No arrest has been made.”
