South African rapper Cassper Nyovest opened up to his followers on Instagram over the weekend, sharing that he cries often since he dedicated his life to God.
Cassper, who has been vocal about his faith, posted a video of himself in a swimming pool with an emotional caption.
He shared that since committing his life to God, he has become more emotional.
“Since being touched by the Holy Spirit, I cry so often and feel so deeply,” he wrote.
He realised that even though he thought he was happy for 33 years, he was avoiding deeper emotions.
He continued, “I used to focus on lighter topics, avoiding deeper feelings. Now, I can fully experience and be present in my pain, sorrow, fears, worries, flaws, mistakes, insecurities, and weaknesses.”
Cassper also shared Bible verses and spoke of his gratitude for God.
“It’s challenging, but knowing the name of Jesus and His sacrifice brings comfort. There is immense power in the name of Jesus. Reflecting on what you saved me from, Lord, often brings me to tears and fills me with awe at your love,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Toya Delazy said she regretted collaborating with Cassper early in her career.
Responding to a fan who praised their song “My City,” Toya accused Cassper of being ungrateful and described him as a “vile person.”
She mentioned that she now wishes she had chosen AKA instead.
