SuperSport United starlet Shandre Campbell is reportedly set on a big move to Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a memorable debut campaign at Supersport, bagging five goals and six assists in all competitions and being nominated for the DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season award.

Brugge were among an array of top international clubs seeking his services, with Feyenoord and Midtjylland reportedly also among the potential suitors.

According to iDiski Times, an agreement has been reached between the sides, with a long-term contract being offered to the player.

The player’s agent, Mike Makaab, told FarPost that negotiations are ongoing, but that nothing is quite done yet.

“What I can say for now is that it’s too premature at the moment. We are still in discussions with the club. There’s still work to be done. Not finalised,” he said.

Campbell played 30 games last season after being promoted to the senior team last July; and there is no doubt that his transfer status will be closely monitored by South African football fans.
