Snowy weather is back so brace yourself for a few more days of freezing temperatures.
Extremely cold temperatures were already expected, but the cold front will also bring snowfall of between 5 and 15 cm.
The cold temperatures follow a cold front that began in the eastern parts of South Africa and travelled into the south-eastern parts of the nation, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
SAWS said this would be the reason for the chilly weather expected over the next three days.
The extreme weather conditions will affect KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and the Eastern Cape the most.
The snowfall will occur in the Lesotho area as well as the southern parts of Drakensberg.
Heavy and disruptive rainfall is also expected in KZN as well as in the Eastern Cape, Free State and Mpumalanga.
The extreme weather could have devastating effects on these provinces as several roads and travel routes may be closed. Farmers in the Free State have also been advised to provide shelter for their animals in case the conditions reach devastation.
SAWS have urged the public in the affected areas to follow all weather updates where possible to avoid being caught in the freezing temperatures.
