Like a bad song that was left on repeat, Black Motion has stopped the untruthful rumours about the duo of DJs going their separate ways.
It all started as a simple joke earlier this year on social media, after one of the DJs, Murdah Bongz, and his partner DJ Zinhle were seen on several posts travelling together overseas after giving birth to their first-born baby, Asante.
This led to fans thinking the two parents are now working together, and Smol, the other member of Black Motion, is being sidelined by Murdah Bongz, who has been openly gigging alone internationally since June this year.
But the rumour only took shape after fellow musician DJ Prince Kaybee echoed what the duo had denied.
“Still in disbelief that Black Motion is no more, the most decorated and astounding duo of our time,” tweeted Kaybee on Tuesday, 19 July.
A day later the duo, which last released an album titled Talking to the Drums in August last year with 21 songs, replied with a picture of them together in the studio on their Black Motion Instagram account.
“Cut The Noise – Let The Music Go On,” reads the caption of the picture.
And on Thursday the duo totally rubbished the rumours by announcing that they are working on releasing new music together.
“Black Motion is dropping soon… Let them talk but the music lives on.”
Meanwhile Kaybee, who is also currently gigging overseas, has not removed his post even after the record has been set straight by Black Motion.
