An extra-time goal by Lautaro Martinez secured Argentina’s victory over Colombia in the Copa America final on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The match was delayed for 80 minutes, with many fans who had tickets not getting into the stadium and some fans getting in without tickets.

Despite an early injury to Lionel Messi, forcing him to leave the game shortly after the hour mark, Argentina managed to claim their back-to-back Copa America titles.

Colombia dominated possession during normal time, with Jhon Cordoba hitting the post early on.

However, their 28-game unbeaten streak ended in extra time as both teams were exhausted.

Martinez, the tournament’s Golden Boot winner, scored the decisive goal in the 112th minute, bringing Messi to tears of joy.

This win adds to Argentina’s recent successes, including their World Cup victory in Qatar.
